President Casey Bostain opened the July monthly meeting at 7:30 PM. Our Chaplain Bro. Kevin Morton gave an invocation followed by the pledges to our country and state flags.
The president began by thanking all the members present for supporting him during his year of leadership. He stated that our ambassador Bro. George Rutherford was still under the weather and wished he could be with us this evening.
The vice president then introduce a number of DDGMs followed by PGM Elmer Murphy, and finally, Grand Master Brad Billings.
The president then had the Lodge Worshipful Master stand and be recognized and introduced his officers present.
A motion was made to accept the previous months minutes as posted. Motion passed
The treasurers report was given and a motion was made to accept it and pay all upcoming bills, Motion passed.
Right Worshipful Chris Livingston was then invited to conduct the annual officer elections.
The elections officer stated clearly that the only individuals that were permitted to vote were members of the 14th district who were masters, past masters, wardens or secretaries.
The elections officer then asked if there were any nominations for the office of president. R.W. Bostain put forth the nomination of Bro. Seth Alston. Bro. Alston was elected unanimously.
The elections officer then asked if there were any nominations for the office of Vice President. Bro. Alston put forth nomination of Bro. David Bindel. Bro. Bindel was elected unanimously.
The elections officer then asked if there were any nominations for the office of secretary. Bro. Bindel put forth the nomination of R.W. Roger Landry. He was also elected unanimously.
The elections officer then asked if there were any nominations for the office of treasurer. Brother Kerr Morton stood and put forth the nomination of Bro. Kevin Morton. Bro. Scott Hill stood, and put forth the name of Bro. Robert Weston.
After appropriate slips of paper were passed out to the eligible voting members, the votes were then collected and given to the teller committee, consisting of Bro. Eric Stuyvesant and Bro. Scott Hill who reported to the election master that brother Weston had received a majority number of votes.
The elections were then closed and Grand Master Brad Billings was called to the podium to conduct the officers installation ceremony with Marshall, R.W. Chris Livingston. The
installation ceremony was completed and the new officers were seated in their respective places.
The new Bro. President thanked his installation team, he also thanked the outgoing president and then outlined some of the upcoming events for this next Masonic year. Past President Bostain then presented the new president with his gold member lapel pin.
It was announced that the Association Chaplain of several years, Bro. Kevin Morton would be stepping away from this position and the sponsoring Lodge would provide a chaplain to conduct the meeting prayers for future meetings. The president and members then all thanked Bro. Kevin Morton for his outstanding dedication and support for all of us in the district.
It was announced that the August monthly meeting would be held at the Dallas Scottish Rite Cathedral to be held on August 31st.
There being nothing more to come before the association, we closed with prayer and continued fellowship at the Eye V Bar and Grill.
