Minutes April 29, 2020

The Meeting of April 29, 2020 was held virtually

Meeting Opened at 7:30pm with Opening Remarks by President Haven

As you know, last month we were supposed to have the Lamar Awards program, but it was cancelled due to COVID. So, at the encouragement of Ken Cochran to provide a virtual meeting, here we are. Thanks, Ken, for your suggestion.

Brother Chaplain Kevin Morton led us in prayer followed by pledges led by Haven.

RW Scott G. Hill introduced our distinguished visitors starting with PP Chris Livingston, and Brad Billings. DDGMs in attendance were Robert W. Moore, Scott G. Hill. DI present were Darrel Hefley and Chris Livingston. Grand Lodge officers Present were RW Brad Billings, Grand Senior Warden.

All elected and appointed Officers of District 14 were present.

We had a total of 28 participants tonight including President Maverik Murry, District 20 MWSA from Lufkin, in East Texas who joined our virtual MWSA Meeting and President Brian Cook of District 9 MWSA.

Grand Senior Warden asked to discuss the GM Proclamation that just came out earlier today first so he could attend and wanted to allow forum for anyone to ask questions for clarification.

Our Educational Program tonight was presented by Jeff Haven on Fundraising.

The meeting was running long tonight so we postponed the Treasurers Report and Secretary’s reports.

Our Next meeting will most likely be virtual on May 27. Stay safe and healthy!

We had a special surprise tonight by our own Treasurer Casey Bostain. He played a song for us tonight that he had written.

Brother Chaplain Kevin Morton closed the meeting with heartfelt prayer and a special remembrance of Brother Gary Criswell, he was a faithful participant in our MWSA meetings over the years.

Meeting was closed at approximately 8:47pm
