Minutes of the Stated Meeting of

May 28, 2025

            On May 28, 2025, at 7:34pm, the 14th District MWSA was opened by President Roger Landry at Richardson Masonic Lodge #1214 528 Lockwood Drive, Richardson, Texas 75080.  Forty-one members and guests were present

            Officers present were Roger Landry (President), and George Rutherford (Ambassador).  D.D.G.M Jeff Smith lead with an opening prayer.  The President led the group in pledges to the United States and Texas flags.

            After opening prayer and pledges, the President extended thanks to Richardson Lodge #1214 and its officers, who were introduced.  As the lodge room air conditioning system was not working, the meeting took place in the comfort of the dining room.  Five sitting W.M.s and PP Haven and Fairchild were also recognized, as were 64th M.W.S.A. President James Kirkpatrick, and Masonic Home and School Board President Zachary Haston.

            Minutes were postponed in the absence of the Secretary, and a Treasurer’s report was received in the absence of the Treasurer

PRESENTATION:

PM Brian Cook was introduced and recognized the contributions of Richardson Lodge’s DeMolay Chapter and the DeMolay members who contributed to the meal, and the assembled guests contributed to the DeMolay fundraising effort.

            PM Cook talked about appendant bodies in Masonry and the harmonious working and effect on Richardson Lodge.  He also talked about the National Sojourners organization, mission, and membership requirements. The local Sojourner’s Chapter Commander gave a United States flag history presentation to the members present, which was well received.  PM Cook thanked the Sojourners present for the presentation.   The President thanked PM Cook and presented a token of appreciation for this presentation.

            None

ANNOUNCEMENTS/UPCOMING EVENTS:

Floor announcements regarding upcoming events were discussed, and the next two months meeting date calendar was set for:

June 25, 2025:  Carrollton Masonic Lodge #1400

July 30, 2025     Oak Cliff Masonic Lodge #705

A call was made for sickness and distress, and 64th M.W.S.A President Kirkpatrick asked for prayers for PGM Kirby, who is undergoing cardiac surgery.

The meeting was closed with prayer, peace and harmony prevailing at 8:43 p.m.
