2018 14th District Lamar Awards

Our March Meeting was held at Dallas Scottish Rite Cathedral on April 28,2018. Brother Jim Fulcher, and his Chef’s committee prepared a wonderful meal in the ornate Crystal Dining Room to a full house of over 220 attendees.

After the meal, we enjoyed a wonderful presentation in our Egyptian motif Auditorium by Dr. Jimmy Rumsey as he shared facts about the Father of Texas Education, Mirabeau B. Lamar.

A total of 14 Masonic Lodges in District 14 presented 20 Lamar Medals and Certificates to both Students and Educators. A big thanks to General Secretary PGM Donny Broughton for allowing us to have the ceremonies at DSRC, Bob Haver and the Busboys, and PGM David Dibrell for his excellent presentation of the bios during the presentations of awards.
